ORQUESTRA SINFÔNICA MUNICIPAL DE JUNDIAÍ
The Orquestra Sinfônica Municipal de Jundiaí (OSMJ) is an artistic body linked to the Culture Management Unit. Created in 2011, at the initiative of the Municipal Department of Culture, the Orchestra was an old desire of the population of Jundiaí, which began to be served by the municipal administration. Through its continuous and growing program, the Orchestra aims to educate the public and facilitate access to art in the city.

The OSMJ brought two important news in the 2022 season. The first of these is the arrival of the instruments of the wind and percussion families, which joined the string instruments present since its formation, which made it a symphonic orchestra. Another important news was the creation of a nucleus to work with young musicians.

Headed by conductor and artistic director Claudia Feres, the Orchestra has established itself as a promising ensemble, both for the excellence of its musicians and for the repertoire of its concerts, consolidating itself with each new season as a remarkable chamber ensemble within the musical scene of Brazilian classical music.

Even during the Covid-19 pandemic, OSMJ did not interrupt its work, showing a lot of innovation and creativity also in a virtual season. Among the initiatives, as a way of providing service to the population and the creation of quality artistic content, OSMJ made available several playlists, such as Music at Home, #tbt10anos, Radio OMJ, Beethoven (in honor of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the German composer), among others.
